Interview of Kulwant Nagi of Bloggingcage.com
How do you define blogging? What is the future of this profession?
Blogging is a tool to express your thoughts and teach world with your personal experience. This profession is going to become one of the most loved professions in coming years, as internet has changed life of thousands of people and other people are getting awareness about it.
In your point of view, what are the main challenges of today’s blogging profession?
Biggest challenges are SEO [Search Engine Optimization] and traffic, because the amount of money which you are going to make with your blog is directly proportional to both of them. You can get traffic either with good SEO or with your blogging relations, but at the end only traffic is going to help you.
What are the five tips you would give to a New Blogger?
- Research well.
- Don’t try to copy others.
- Write what you know.
- Keep patient (tolerant and relaxed).
- Don’t worry about failure because it will give you priceless lesson which cannot be bought with money.
What are the things a blogger should avoid?
- Don’t fall in trap with fake earning proofs and traffic screenshot.
- Don’t hurry. Things will happen with time only.
In your point of view, can every educated person start Blogging?
Anyone in this world with little knowledge of computer can start blogging. Platforms like WordPress, BlogSpot, Tumblr, TypePad have made blogging such easy that anyone can do it now.
How do you respond to the people who look to find only tricks and avoid hard work in blogging?
In 100% of the cases these are newbie bloggers who are looking shortcuts to make quick money. Either they are downloading too many WSO courses or grabbing cracked tools from BlackHat forums with the intention to make money as soon as possible.
I always suggest them not to go in this direction (as I used to do this when I was newbie and found nothing) because this will fill your mind with lots of crap information and you will not be able to take right decision.
Do you think a Blog is important for a Business/Company? (If Yes, Please explain)
Yes, because blog has become biggest tool to market your business. This is a tool where you can make your online identity and then sell your online services or product with other blog or same blog. e.g CopyBlogger.com is selling Scribe, Genesis Framework, Synthesis Hosting and GetPremise. QuickSprout.com is selling his SEO services using his blog and there are tons of other examples too. So if you want survival then a blog is must- tool.
Modern SEO is quite challenging, how do you tackle dealing SEO situation on your Blog?
In next few months SEO is going to take new avatar. People who are working genuinely to provide valuable stuff will survive for long term because Google is working very hard to kill black-hat SEO.
How do you personally take care of your readers?
I reply each and every comment on my blog. If anyone is commenting on my blog first time then I send them to one page where I thank them personally. I am very active on Facebook and lots of bloggers are connected with me there too.
Why most of the new bloggers don’t think much about Niche Selection?
Newbie bloggers follow each others. They see someone making money with Android blog, next day they will start an Android blog, if they see someone making money with Windows blog then next day they will start a new windows blog. So rather than finding their hidden talent they are just emulating each other.
Niche selection is something which excites you, forces you and motivates you to write for next 5 years on same topic. If you are feeling bored after 5-6 months, then most probably you have done wrong selection with your niche.
Do you think Niche plays a vital role in a Blog’s success?
Yes, because once you will find that niche which excites you then success is guaranteed.
How to do you relate Affiliate Program and Niche of a blog?
If you are thinking to push your affiliate product directly to buyer then your approach is 100% wrong.
Start a blog around that niche, start writing articles which solve problems, now this niche blog is eligible for promoting affiliate products.
Is Keywords targeting dead now? How to survive in SEO?
Keyword targeting might be dead in next few years because Google has started hiding keywords which are sending traffic on your blog. For future survival you will have to concentrate on quality.
What is your message for my readers?
If you are into blogging then I appreciate you because you are already 5 years ahead of your friends who don’t even know ABC of blogging. The day when they will start blogging, you will be sitting at a very big level.
So keep doing what you are doing and don’t listen to anyone if someone is trying to pull you backward. Best wishes…
Conclusion
Well, I really appreciated Mr. Kulwant Nagi’s response for this interview. I tried to keep this interview precise and short to make readers more comfortable in knowing something useful without spending a lot of time. Time matters!
Folks, I got a lesson that we should keep on investing our effort and quality time on Blogging – Blogging isn’t something which turns out in few months, you have to get in, spend time, learn things and start implementing.
Take the example of an education system, a child goes into 1st standard, it takes almost half of his life (approx.) to turn him into a well-educated person – So get evolved in blogging by keeping the passion to learn useful things in Blogging, and never go for shortcuts.
What I like about Mr. Kulwant Nagi is, he shares his mistakes with the readers and it’s a huge deal for new bloggers to learn from his mistakes and try to be successful and professional bloggers.
