Blogging is a combination of strategic effort to write great content, make necessary preparations, provide basic SEO management and utilize Social Media and this mix turned out to be a blogging technique. Philosophy behind this scheme is very simple, not only one thing single handedly make your blog successful.
Some people think that only unique content can work great for their blog, either they are spamming too much on others blog or making over doze of Social media sharing and they don’t know about meta tags and description. If they don’t even think about readers’ choice and readers’ engagement, then they should be guided well because readership does not get build by putting few strings in hand and neglecting rest of them….
Well,
“Make content for the readers not for the search engines, this would be my answer to them” Because I have seen this type of opinions written by many bloggers.
If you are running a blog and your contributors are making quality content for your either paid or guest posts, no matter how many words or articles you post on the blog, it might not be helpful if you are not producing content for the readers benefit.
Analyze few things I am going to mention here for all readers and bloggers who read blogs and want to make direct readers and subscribers rather than only search engine or social media traffic. You can’t make your blog successful if you are not opening all gates of the traffic.
Tips to increase the readership of your blog
I believe if a blogger practices the things I am going to discuss effectively and professionally than he can make his blog successful and surely increase his readership.
Never start multiple blogs
If you want to start a blog and have multiple ideas in mind than never mix things up for you and think well before starting and pick best topic. Never ever start multiple, even two blogs at a time. Professional bloggers always start single blog and mostly they spend 4 to 5 years working on the same blog. Multiple or even two blogs divert the attention of the blogger and he does not give full attention to the both blogs.
Some people think that working on other niche on the other blog would not cause problem as things would not get mix up due to change in the niche, it does not makes difference either you pick same niche or different niche, your attention and focus will be divided and you might not make both blogs highly successful.
Utilize All Possible traffic gates
Readership is the thing which is different from visitors. If 1000 people reaches to your blog through different mediums like social network, Ads and search engine than think how much will re-visit your blog, if every time you are getting new 1000 visitors, but it would be more good if 200 from previous 1000 visits again, that is how readership starts building up.
Traffic gates mean use all social media tools, possibly your newsletter will also help you to maintain a number of readers. Use Facebook for your blog promotion and interaction with the readers. Update your twitter account daily or couple of times and Facebook page couple of times in a week. Google Plus profiles (G+) has been very useful these days as google’s product, if you have good following on google plus than it surely helps you in building good traffic from google after google has brought Authorship feature in the searches.
Never stop unique content making
Readers want continuous good content on your blog and in their emails if they are subscribers. Content is very important for a blog. How about this, if you are running a blog and post an article after a week, than search engines will observe that whole week there is no new content coming, so definitely they will rank your blog below than the blog of similar type posting high quality content on daily basis. So don’t stop writing good content on your blog.

Build Professional Relationships
Making good relations with professional bloggers, social media experts and even internet marketers for your good will is important. When you have a long list of such professional people than surely they will be in touch with you on social media like Google+, Facebook and twitter and you will share your posts and may be some of them visit your blog once in a month and if they like your blog, such people can share your blog and even refer someone to read and subscribe. See, there can more opportunities for you if professional bloggers and Social media and SEO experts are in your contact.
Increase Interest of Readers
Commenting somehow tells the popularity of the blog. Not all the time but sometimes readers respond to very good opinions and point of views that a blogger has given in the post. Increase in interaction and discussion is good for your blog, like reader will stay more on your blog and reply to the comments might make them convinced to discuss further and they may subscribe to your blog or keep visiting regularly.
Conclusion
To increase readership of any blog does not require a single formula but it is a process to stay on track with all possible inputs to be given to the blog. Social media involvement, readers’ engagement and blog’s activities and continuous updates make readers attracted to follow your blog.
